The Mechanical Engineering Metrology Lab contains instruments for imaging components, dimensional metrology, and GD&T inspection: i.e., measuring size, position, form, and orientation of features on physical objects. Current instruments include a industrial micro-CT system, coordinate measuring machine, and 3D optical metrology system. These are available on a fee/hour basis for users at UW-Madison, other non-profits, and for-profit users.
