Wisconsin Seed Potato Greenhouse Services
The Wisconsin Seed Potato Certification Program (WSPCP) provides several services to the UW community, Wisconsin Seed Potato growers, Wisconsin Seed Potato industry, and domestic and international potato stakeholders. As part of these services, WSPCP offers thoroughly tested, virus-free nuclear mini-tubers and seed pieces for purchase.
Our disease-free nuclear production setup includes approximately 15,000 sqft of greenhouse space devoted to hydroponic production via Nutrient Film Technique (NFT). We also have a 5,000 sqft greenhouse devoted to a non-peat based potted production system. Please review our website for details on how to place an nuclear seed order (minitubers or seed pieces) of over 150 varieties to meet your research or production needs.
The WSPCP values education and collaboration to improve UW research opportunities, CALS Global initiatives, seed potato health and research. We're always seeking ways to connect with other programs and research entities to collaborate on projects or share information about our program techniques and services. We welcome any interest in our program or services.
