Faculty Directors:

The UW–Madison Arboretum is a 1200-acre outdoor ecological laboratory that supports restoration ecology research. Arboretum staff also manage 11 remnant natural areas throughout Wisconsin. Researchers can apply for permits to work in the Arboretum’s natural areas, manicured gardens, and mesocosm facility. Long-term and historical research datasets and land management records are available.
