WiCell Characterization CoreWiCell established its Characterization Laboratory in 2005 to meet the growing needs of UW-Madison to characterize their cell cultures. WiCell Characterization Laboratory currently provides testing on various cell lines for companies and institutions worldwide. WiCell works with many different cell types as well as species. Assays include G-banded karyotype, FISH, STR, SNP microarray, mycoplasma testing, pluripotency and undiferentiated status assays, and an oncopanel assay. 

WiCell Stem Cell Core: ES and iPS cell lines, qualified reagents, and characterization services including mycoplasma screening, pluripotency testing, cell banking and distribution of cell lines. Offerings include hES, xeno-free completely defined lines, lines banked under GMP, genetically modified hES, disease model iPS and differentiated cell lines. #BiologicalSciences
